Construction underway on the former manufacturing icon in North Geelong
The Hamilton Group Projects Team are making headway at our Henderson’s development, located in the Pivot City precinct, right next to Federal Mills and The Glass House.
Stages 1 and 2 are underway, with several key project milestones already achieved and further progress continuing. This includes:
- Interior abrasive blasting – years of grime and old coatings have been safely removed, revealing the original heritage red brickwork.
- Roof restoration – the roof to stage 1 has been fully completed.
- Internal demolition – 85% of all internal demolition works are now complete.
- Next stage of abrasive blasting – additional areas are now being treated to expose more of the building’s original character throughout stage 2.
- Façade rectification – rendering and painting have commenced on the iconic Henderson’s frontage.
- Scaffolding installation – erected along the south façade to allow access for upcoming window installations.
- Structural openings – Bayside Demolition and Remediation is cutting out brickwork to create openings for new steel glazed windows to the southern and eastern façades of stage 1.
- Early structural and service works – infrastructure is being put in place to support the next stages of development to stage 1 allowing for mezzanine install.
What’s coming
Once complete, Henderson’s will feature 29 new tenancies ranging from 150sqm to 500sqm. The design will reflect our signature industrial aesthetic, with exposed red brick, glass hallways, and lush greenery throughout.
We’re excited to share more progress as the development unfolds throughout the year, with completion expected in early 2026.
