The Woolstore precinct at 400 Pakington Street, Newtown has taken a step towards a more sustainable future with the installation of a new 110kW solar system by 1KOMMA5° Australia.
The system is expected to generate approximately 150MWh of clean energy each year and offset around 2,000 tonnes of CO₂ over its lifetime, helping reduce the precinct’s environmental impact.
The project was supported by the Victorian Energy Upgrades (VEU) program, making large-scale commercial solar more accessible for businesses.
Originally part of Geelong’s thriving wool industry, the Woolstores precinct is now home to a diverse mix of commercial businesses. This investment reflects Hamilton Group’s ongoing commitment to improving the long-term sustainability and performance of the buildings we own and manage.
