Hamilton Group is an award-winning commercial property company specialising in leasing, construction and fitouts. We create innovative, functional spaces for our clients across commercial, hospitality, health and retail sectors while also owning and leasing a portfolio of business precincts across Geelong.
Proud Geelong History
In 1995, David & Heather Hamilton bet it all on the belief that Geelong businesses needed more cost-effective office spaces. They transformed a former wool store at the river end of Pakington Street into the Barwon Design Park. As it quickly filled with small businesses and community organisations, they invested in a second business precinct to keep up with demand, laying the foundations for what is now Hamilton Group.
Evolving Legacy
Today, Cameron Hamilton leads Hamilton Group, carrying forward his parent’s legacy. From humble beginnings, the company now employs a team of 65 people, from property managers and accountants to project managers and tradespeople.
Fuelled by David’s mantra of “Tell me how you can do it, not how you can’t”, we’re driven by a passion to create inspiring spaces and find solutions to transform ambitious ideas into reality.
Working alongside trusted industry partners, we deliver fitout and construction projects, including landmark precincts such as Federal Mills, recognised as the 2022 National UDIA Best Urban Renewal Project. We also manage 25 properties that are home to more than 250 organisations and support up to 2,500 jobs across the Geelong region.

It is an exciting time for Geelong, and we are proud to continue playing a role in shaping its future. We focus on creating spaces that support local businesses and deliver long-term value for the community.
Guided by strong local insight, we work closely with our clients to deliver practical, future-ready spaces built to last. Our current projects include landmark heritage sites such as the Regent Theatre, Bright and Hitchcocks and the Fyansford Paper Mills, as well as workplace fitouts across retail and commercial sectors for organisations including Barwon Health Foundation and R.B. Sellars.
